Joslyn Hi-Velocity Interrupters (HVI) are air switch attachments used to interrupt line charging at system voltages of 69kV to 161kV or transformer magnetizing current at system voltages of 69kV to 230kV. Interrupting performance of Joslyn Hi-Velocity Interrupters far exceed the capability of quick break attachments of more conventional design. Hi-Velocity Interrupters can be quickly mounted on most gear or motor operated vertical and side break switches. Conversion of an existing air switch is easily achieved since no special tools or training is required. These interrupters can be installed with the air switch on its mounting frame. |
